Brancaster provides the perfect base for taking your four legged friends for long walks along the outstanding North Norfolk coast. The miles and miles of unspoilt sand and shallow water are great for dogs and their owners. Also, at the top of the hill behind Brancaster Staithe is Barrow Common, again a great place for dog walking and offering mesmerising views. With just nine luxurious bedrooms and suites, as well as a bar and restaurant, The Ship Hotel at Brancaster is possibly the perfect small hotel, just a few minutes from the amazing beach. Through the summer months our outdoor kitchen and bar extends the Ship’s hospitality into its pretty garden, and with a chicken rotisserie feature, is popular with guests as well as locals. They even have our own brand of premium gin – Black Diamond, very popular with guests, many of whom buy a bottle to take home with them. If the North Norfolk Coast is about anything, it’s about getting outside to explore the coast and country lanes. The Ship has paddleboards and pushbikes available for guests to hire – including electric bikes for those who wish to take things a little easier – and recommends a number of local walks. The Coasthopper bus stops outside for those who want an easier form of transport or who prefer a linear walk to a circular one. Dogs are also made most welcome at The Ship; with clean beds, towels and treats in every room, dog friendly dining tables and most importantly, their very own sausage when gusts order our amazing full Norfolk Breakfast!

INNTRAVEL

​We are delighted to announce a partnership with Inntravel, a Yorkshire based travel company.

Inntravel have been offering cycling holidays in Norfolk since 2022 and they have proved very popular with tailor made routes across the beautiful Norfolk coastline from The Rose and Crown in Snettisham across to The Victoria at Holkham, Blakeney House and Cley Windmill, which are all fabulous places to stay.
